ABOUT
BIO
Saliva first exploded onto the hard rock scene with the breakout anthems “Click Click Boom” and “Your Disease,” the latter earning the band a Grammy nomination. Their 2001 major-label debut, Every Six Seconds, was certified Double Platinum, followed by 2002’s Gold-certified Back Into Your System, which delivered additional fan favorites including “Always,” “Raise Up,” and “Rest in Pieces,” co-written with Nikki Sixx.
While Saliva has evolved through several lineup changes, the band has never lost the intensity and determination at the core of its sound. Since joining the band in 2011, frontman Bobby Amaru has led Saliva through a prolific new era that includes In It to Win It (2013), reissued as Rise Up in 2014, Love, Lies & Therapy (2016), 10 Lives (2018), the Every Twenty Years EP (2021), and Revelation (2023).
In 2023, Saliva suffered the devastating loss of founding guitarist Wayne Swinny. His legacy continues to be honored through the band’s music and live performances. Reflecting on his passing, Amaru said, “This band meant more to Wayne than music itself, and he wanted us to continue in its current form.” That spirit of loyalty, perseverance, and purpose remains at the heart of Saliva’s journey forward.
In 2025, the band released its first album with Judge & Jury Records, REVELATION: RETOLD, a deluxe reimagining of its 2023 album featuring guest vocals, unreleased material, and fresh takes on fan favorites. Songs including “Time Bomb,” “Horizon: Retold,” and “Devil’s World” further demonstrated the band’s resilience and continued creative evolution.
Saliva followed with a powerful run of singles including “Hit ’Em Where It Hurts,” “Cope” featuring Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch, “Too Broke to Fix” featuring Austin John Winkler, “Sadistic Love,” “Edge of a Knife,” and “Longshot” featuring Johnny Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Those tracks appear on the band’s new 13-track album, BREAKING THROUGH, available now via Judge & Jury Records.
Produced by Bobby Amaru and Steve Perreira, with executive production by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Seether, Daughtry) and Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace, BREAKING THROUGH explores addiction, mental health, grief, resilience, and healing. Anchored by Amaru’s personal journey to sobriety, the album balances their signature rock style with some of Saliva’s most honest and vulnerable songwriting to date.
BREAKING THROUGH is available on all major streaming platforms, with vinyl and CD editions arriving September 25.
With a catalog spanning more than two decades, millions of streams, and a reputation for electrifying live performances, Saliva continues to carve out its place in the modern rock landscape—honoring its past while moving forward with unshakable momentum.
